Upgrading a hp pavilion g6 notebook any tips/help?

I mainly intend to upgrade the ram from a single 4gb card but I don't know how much the motherboard can handle or will allow of ddr3. While i'm at it I will upgrade the graphics card to but am unsure of what I should put in it weather there are specific factors I need to look for when upgrading it. Just comment down in the description and I will reply as soon as I can thank you for taking time to read this. I know this may sound dumb to some but please know i'm not very experienced with computers I just need to make this one better.

I don't think you can upgrade the graphic card.As for the RAM, first post the exact model of your laptop,because it seems certain models are different in terms of upgrading
