Upgrading existing laptop storage

I am in need of upgrading my current laptops storage. Between photos, games and such I have somehow managed to fill my 2x 500GB HDDs in a Raid 0 configuration.

I am trying to decide how best to replace them. My current line of thinking gives me 2 options.

Option 1: replace them with 2 x 1Tb HDDs in a Raid 0 configuration.

Option 2: same as option 1, but use SSHDs instead.

Option 3: forget Raid 0 and go for a small SSD (240GB) and a larger 2Tb HDD.

I am torn on which direction to go in.

It is a gaming laptop that also is used for day to day use.

Def go for option 3. Less likely to lose you data losing the raid as well as the ssd will be much faster that your raid 0

I'd go for 4, 500 GB SSD for OS and programs (not super pricey now), and the larger drive for file storage.

I would go with two 2TB SSDs.

Or #3 a SSD of whatever size for the C: Drive and a 2TB HDD for your storage drive.
