Upgrading my laptop.

So I have a Samsung NP-RV510-A05US. It has Windows 7 and Intel Pentium. It was good at first, but now it's getting slow and with all of this new technology coming out I want to either buy a new laptop, or upgrade mine. I heard that upgrading is better and cheaper than buying a new one, but I'm not sure if my laptop can actually be upgraded.

Things I want upgraded:
1.) Processor
2.) Memory
3.) Graphics

Can I actually upgrade my laptop, or do I just have to buy a new one?

I also heard just making a laptop from scratch is cheaper and you get a better performance than buying one. Is this true? What is my best option?

Note: I want to upgrade from an HDD to a SSD. Can I do this with my laptop, I thought that since it's Samsung I can just throw in any Samsung SSD, is that true or are they compatible with certain models?

Extra Note: Over the couple of years that I have owned this laptop, it has taken some falls. Some of which require some repairs. I need to repair the USB Port that has two ports on top of each other, and the port that the charger is plugged in to. Also the laptop does not open all the way, not to use it but when you open it up to see the motherboard. Even after taking out all of the screws, there were still things holding it in place so I couldn't open it entirely. I don't have actual computer tools for this stuff so I'm not sure if that matters to somebody who does, just thought you should know.

If it were me I would put an SSD in it but only to speed up boot time and opening programs, it won't help CPU incentive activities. Is your Windows 32 or 64 bit? If 32 bit then there is no point getting more ram as Windows on 32 bit cannot access pre than 4gb.

I don't really have a budget, I'll just ask for it for Christmas. If I had to put a budget it would be $400-$500. If your currency is euros then I think that would be 295.79-369.74

It's Windows 7 64 bit. Does that make a notable difference?

It means Windows can use more than 4gb but the speed gain from going to 8gb is unlikely to be that big unless ram is your current bottleneck which I doubt
