Upgrading RAM for Dell Inspiron 9400

I currently have 1GB on my dell (the one that came with it).

Not too sure what to do and what to buy to upgrade it.

Anyone would know ? Thanks

You would need 200-PIN PC2-5300 or the slower PC2-4200.

You don't have to get that specific brand, just use that data on a search on newegg or something for stuff of similar spec.

I know with my brother's Inspiron 9300, all of the compartments were labeled. All you had to do was remove a few screws to the correct one, pop a cover off and replace the RAM.
