Upgrading Storage Options For Laptops?

Hello All,


I've come to this website for assistance before, I would like to know a few things: when I buy a new laptop, I would like to upgrade the storage from HDD to SSD. (Knowing that all of the preloaded crap that exists on the HDD from the factory). Would creating an image onto a USB device and then using that as recovery, cause the new SSD to also have the same preloaded crap? My instinct tells me no, but I'm just not entirely sure. Would it be wiser just to use a new Windows key all together?

yes. if it a true image. crap to crap.

Yes, a system image would include all the pre-installed stuff. You can wipe out (uninstall) whatever you don't want before creating the system image.
