USB Adapter question

I have an older ASUS desktop PC. It has 2 external USB 2.0 ports on the front. Do they make a USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 adapter? I want to find an easy way to upgrade my USB ports without having to actually open up my computer.

There is no such adapter, since the USB 2 ports are connected to USB 2 hardware in the computer. You need to add a USB 3 card to the system. It's like taking a chicken, putting a dog on top if it and expecting the chicken to act like a dog now.
