USB and touchscreen disappeared

I have an ASUS N550 laptop, for some reason the touchscreen has stopped working and also none of the USB ports are working. Any ideas why or how i get these back,just about everything has gone from the device manager USB section and touchscreen not even there, any ideas would be appreciated

You can try a system restore. Maybe a bad windows update messed it up. Also go to asus website and download any drivers that may pertain to you. Very odd...

Thats what i think, a bad windows update, trouble is i can't see a driver for the USBs or for the touch screen on the ASUS website. I can do a restore but am worried i lose all the programs that were pre-installed on the laptop, especially the blu ray player as i use that a lot when working away.

Not a factory restore, a system restore. Google it. Just put it back to the day before it broke.

Just tried that to the day before the update, still the same.
