USB Headset Not Working?

Basicly I've been using this headset for a while (2 months at most) on my ASUS laptop with Windows 10 OS and all of a sudden the headset USB stops working and comes up on my laptop as a Unknown USB Device the piece of the headset that controls MIC muting and sound Muting flashes a few times when plugged in but then comes up on my laptop as unknown device I've tried numerous methods to try and fix this but none work, really need this problem fixing as i can't get a new headset till next year and its annoying on and said call with anyone to hear them selves echo from my Laptops built in MIC and speakers any help would be appreciated Thanks! Oh BTW my headset doesn't work in any port in my laptop however i can confirm the ports do work as my mouse chip works in them perfectly fine

Hi,

Here are some steps that you might want to try.

1. Uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers.
- Go to Device Manager the uninstall the USB drivers then reboot your PC so it would reinstall it's driver again.
- Download the latest chipset driver from ASUS support site.
http://support.asus.com/download/options.aspx?SLanguage=en&type=1
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.

2. Perform System Restore
- Click Start then type System Restore and press enter
- Once System Restore is open just click Next, select the date and time when your headset was still working just fine then press Next and Finish.
- Wait until the restoration has completed and once done please try it again.
