USB to HDTV

I can send an image from my desktop to my HDTV by using my ATI video card,
and an inexpensive DVI to component adapter. Now I want to be able to send
an image from my laptop, but it does not have a DVI output. I have available
USB2, firewire, and PCMCIA. Anybody aware of a system that will enable me to
send a 720p or 1080i signal to my TV set from my laptop using one the
mentioned ports?

BTW I produce slide shows for my family's enjoyment, and want them to be as
high res and as big as possible.

Are you certain that those are the only jacks on your laptop? What
laptop do you have?

Most laptops have D connectors for external video displays.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions. Now, I do have additional questions:

1. If I use one of the below cable adapters, and I set my output to, say,
640x480, I see how I would get a 480i image directly on my HDTV. However,
that is not good enough for my needs. I don't have the ability to do exactly
720 lines with this computer. The nearest is 1024x768. Will my HDTV choke if
I send it such a signal? will the image be too small/large? Finally, I
really would like to display 1080i, but I know my laptop video card will not
send an interlaced signal through that adapter (at least I can not find such
a thing documented. So how can I do 1080i with such a simple adapter?
