Use in wall cat5 to run desktop pc to multiple rooms

is it possible to use the cat5 already running throught my house to use desktop in multiple rooms on multiple devices with hdmi wallplates
also id like to hook up other devices such as xbox and ps3

There are many whole house HDMI distribution systems. Many of them use 1 or 2 cat5e or cat6. There are some that say they will work with a single cat5. Will not be inexpensive to do as you will need a main switcher/distribution box and receivers built into the wall plates.
