Dear all,
I have a 2.5" HD of 320Gb and I want to use it in my car audio system (build-in Volvo V50) . How should I format the disk to be able to use the full disk size for music? When I format it with 1 partition of 320Gb, fat32, the audio system does not recognize it :fou: . When I format it with several 32Gb partitions, it only recognizes the first one, not the other partitions (which means I lose 320-32=288Gb)
What should I do?

try ntfs? Probably wont work. Read the manual and see what the limit of the partition is. HAve you tried larger partitions? You might not be able to do anything with that reciever other than your 32 GB partition. Not bad though, you can use the rest of the drive for something else and still have several days of music on your drive. Just do some more trial and error and see if you can go larger partitions. Seems like you cannot see more than one partition though.
