Question USING 1080P LAPTOP ON 4KTV

My old TV just broke and I need a new one but I only see 4k TV's nowadays from companies like Samsung and Sony and I generally just plug my laptop into the TV to watch youtube vids and use other websites for things like anime. I was wondering if using the laptop would be fine or would the 1080p image look bad? The laptop has an i5 and 960.
