Using 5.1 surround sound TV speakers all placed in the front, is it a problem?

so i have a 5.1 surround sound speaker setup (long story), but as of now i can't put the 2 small speakers on the wall anywhere. can i keep all 5 speakers in the front, or would it sound better if i disabled those speakers and only kept the ones on the left, right, and center?

You can place all speakers in front, but you'll loose surround effect by doing so.

but wouldn't the surround speakers sound strange if placed in the front? i don't mind not having the surround effect for now, i just want it to sound as good as i can with this setup

Should sound similar to 2.1 setup.
Just place left front/back speakers next to each other and same for right front/back speakers.
