Using a laptop adapter with lower wattage?

I have a laptop that requires a 120W adapter. There are some replacements here that have the same voltage but lower current. According to the sellers, it will work fine. I want to know if there are any disadvantages to this? I'm thinking that the adapter will be hotter than usual because it needs to supply a larger current

Are Planing using it to charge battery only or to power on with it...

If just to charge the battery then it will be fine (but charging will take longer).

If it to power on with it, yes it can be hot / fail if the laptop running at max performance..

It will be fine, it's just gonna take longer to charge the battery.
