using a macbook pro as a secondary monitor and steaming machine

hi, if anyone knows how to use a laptop as a secondary monitor for streaming pls halp.

im planning on buying a budget gaming pc and i know it wont do good on multi tasking. so i want to use my macbook pro (early2011) as a streaming machine and a second monitor connected to the pc im building but i don’t know how can i make that work. i watched a video on youtube (https/www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqqU95c46pA), but i don’t know if it will work on a mac and i didn’t understand the guide very well. so i need some help.

They are using an external capture card plugged in. It would come down to if the streaming software you want to use supports Mac and the capture card has Mac drivers.


As for using it as a 2nd screen, no. It's screen is wired to the motherboard with no input options.
