Question Using Chromecast with Google tv on older tv.

Hello. I have a Panasonic tc-p42c2 plasma tv, purchased in 2009. I'm not sure if the Chromecast with Google tv will work, because of the HDCP 2.2 requirements. Can anyone help me with this matter?? Thanks!!

Best solution, get a newer 1080 42" TV for like $80 used that will work with any modern HDMI device. Or a 55" one, they are all decently cheap used. Considering the TV is from 2009 and HDCP 2.2 came out in 2014, if that is the requirement for what you want to use, it won't work with the TV.

I have been using it just fine on a TV I bought in 2010. Where are you seeing the hdcp 2.2 requirement?
