Using non-Samsung bluetooth headphones with Samsung TV.

Hi, this may be a dumb question, but I have a Samsung UE50JU6800K T.V. and I want to know if I can use non-Samsung bluetooth headphones with it. The reason I ask is that in the bluetooth settings for this T.V. it specifically states "pair your Samsung headphones" but I can't find anything to suggest other headphones will be okay.

Ah, never mind; as it happens a colleague bought in his Sony headphones and I was able to test them and they worked fine!
