Hi there,
Firstly, please excuse my terminology below as I'm quite novice in all this!
I have been using my old Logitech 5.1 S500 Surround System with my Series 4 Samsung TV. The speakers are below:-

Whilst I appreciate these are computer speakers I was able to connect them to my Series 4 Samsung as it had a headphone socket. Many years ago I found out how to connect them to the TV essentially using several dual cables reducing the 3 the unit has (red, yellow, white etc..) to 1 to put into the TV. I am sure this is not the best way to do this and very haphazard but seemed to work. I actually think it did work as surround sound as I tested it but at the very least the bass speaker and all speakers worked.
I have now upgraded to a Series 6 4K Samsung TV:-

I can't really afford a new soundbar and I really wanted to try and use my 5.1 system (if it ain't broke why not?) Unfortunately the Series 6 TV does not have a headphone socket. From the manual it seems to have an optical digital output link and HDMI (ARC). I cant seem to upload any images of the connections but it also has a component in that seems to have an image of an amp and has Pb Pr Y(Video) L and R AV in. I'm not even sure these are for audio and I think the Logitech has 3 cables (like headphone) and these above are perhaps a dif connection?
Can anyone offer any advice if I can use my old speakers with the new TV? I have seen the below on other forums but seem to suggest they dont work for 5.1 and in honesty I'm a bit lost?

I can't really afford a new set of speakers so any advice would be welcome and if any more info is required please let me know!
Thank you!
Rich
