Try turning off the laptop, then connect an external monitor. Turn on the external monitor and then turn on the laptop. Can you see your screens on the external monitor?

If you can see the desktop on the external monitor, then your connected display is the problem. You will need to open it up and make sure that the ribbon cable that connects it isn't damaged, loose, broken, pinched, disconnected, etc. If that isn't the issue, the display may need replacing.

If you can't see anything on the external monitor either, then you probably have a dead graphics card/GPS which will require either the card be replaced (if separate from the motherboard) or the motherboard will have to be replaced.

NOTE: If your laptop is under warranty contact...

Arwe there any signs of life that might you want to connect it to an external monitor in case it's just the screen that's packed up? Can you hear anything or see any LEDs light up?

When you removed the battery, did you try mains electric power alone?
