Other pre-selected discounts for today include Portal 2 for $5 (usually $20), COD: Modern Warfare 3 for $30 (usually $60), and Terraria for $2.50 (usually $10).

UK prices for these: £3.74, £19.99 and £1.49. So, Valve are charging very fairly over here, but I'm not surprised by that.

Pack prices seem to differ to the article somewhat; the cheapest I can see on the Daily Deals page is the Valve collection at £24.99. The Activision bundle can be had for £35.99 which, being down from £139.99, is more than £100 cheaper. Can't say fairer than that, really.

I know I'm the rare exception but I had Portal 3 on Xbox and traded it because I got bored half way through. Guess it's just not for everyone.
