I received a Samsung T.V. for Christmas. It has a built in DVD player and VCR. But unlike my old t.v. with VCR hook up, I am no longer able to record one show while watching another. It has instructions for hooking up a second VCR, does anyone know if that will allow me to watch shows, while recording others? I also can't change the channel while it's recording, so I ask you, why do I need to record if it's gonna make me sit there and watch it:)

Probably means your TV only has one tuner in it - you need two tuners to watch one thing and record another. A second VCR would definitely sort it out for you , and since that, also, only needs to have one tuner you can get away with a pretty cheap one. At least then you'd be able to record two different programs at the same time while you're away from home.
