Verison's i Phones and Smartphones

What are their newest and cheapest version that they have out now? I can't afford a very high priced one (due to paying hospital bills); but I'd also like one with a direction-finder on it; with a search(for places to eat, gas prices, etc.).I want to turn in my old phone to get some $ off the price and need HELP in finding a phone, please-for Christmas...Thank You ! If you go to Verizon wireless.com you will see that they have a good selection of phones on sale. For $50 you can get a Driod Ultra and that will come with a lot of features.
