One word - bullshit!

I'll bet a million bucks that by the end of the year when all the "fools" have switched over and are beyond the return period, locked into their contracts, Verizon will announce that the all-you-can-eat broadband buffet is over, just like Virgin Mobile did last month. There is nothing to stop them from doing so.

Seriously, carriers either are able to support an uncapped plan, or they shouldn’t even offer it. Announcing that you will just to screw your customers a few months later is typical of today’s lousy US carriers obsessed with getting a fast buck at whatever cost. You can be a company that makes it’s money with scams, or you can recognize that there is a demand for fast, uncapped broadband, and own that market by offering heavy users what they want.

VZ does not know what UNLIMITED means.... you are slowed down to 11KB/sec if it works at all. We have been on the unlimited data plan since 2005 but it is NOT unlimited. Terms and Conditions on your contract tells you they will slow you down. This is how they get you in and it is great the first 45 days.... because of the 30 day return guarantee. Beware... VZ should be sued for false advertising and bait and switch... Fuzziebunnie is right - just call and ask VZ what the cap is on their "unlimited" plan.

There is no way i would pay anything more then $30 per month for any kind of data for phone. Even if Verizon charges $35, I am out and going to AT&T or Sprint.

VSW has discontinued unlimited data plans (at least at the BlackBerry level). If you choose to upgrade to a 4G device, you'll be forced into a 5 or 10GB data plan.
