[citation][nom]trinitrate[/nom]Just ran the numbers... 3 smart phones, 1 basic phone. Currently 2gb, 4gb, and Unlimited data plans. 1 coorporate data (Good) user. Sharing 700 family minutes. Coorporate discount (20% on voice)Current bill = $161.95Share Everything bill (6gb) = $214What are they smoking? Why would I abandon an unlimited plan and group everything together just to pay an extra $50 a month.[/citation]

I don't see how your current is 161... its 100 bucks a month for the 700 minute plan. 30 bucks per data package that you have. I'm guessing you got the 4gb when it was double data. So you end up at 130 for the minutes and 120 for the data which is 250 minus the 20 percent which is gonna be 230?

I forgot that i have a 25% discount on my base price which is at the moment $80 and also i get 25% off my data portion as well. i didnt add that into the new prices so if i say went to a single phone i would be saving about $30 a month and gaining unlimited text and minutes.. though if the grandfathered in data wont count ill personaly stick with what i have for now.

I dont remember a 700 minute plan for family plans verizon had 900 1400 2000 and unlimited.

Trin is not compairing apples to apples.. using a vary bias point of view. Not everyone has an unlimited plan for one and its also not offered anymore.. OBVIOUSLY someone with the grandfathered data might not like these new plans.

Also im getting $230 before the discount. which would take off $46. and assuming you didnt have the unlimited data for a what $22 more? you get unlimited text and minutes.. which i remind you on the old plans was $50 per phone on your family plan and $30 for the texting... which would make your old bill way higher then it would be now.

Currently 165 for 2 smartphones, 4 gigs of data total and one dumb phone. The smartphones get 1000 texts per month each. 165 is with all fees/taxes included.
New plan would be 180 before taxes/fees with the same amount of data.

It's like, in the middle of a drought, having someone brag that they're wasting absurd amounts of water, because they found a way to cheat the meter.

Since there is no drought and i pay for unlimited data i see no reason to not use it.. why pay for something you had no intention on using in hte first place? has nothing to do with getting back at verizon its how i use my connected devices. I'm not cheating anything.

Hell if I would give up my unlimited data plan that I'm grandfathered into currently. I would rather have unlimited data than unlimited talk.

Wtf. I have two smartphones on a family plan, $30 each for unlimited data, plan has unlimited text and 700 minutes of talk a month. When you factor in the ~$15-$20 in tax it equates to about $142/mth. So Verizon says it is $40 per smart phone and $60 for 2GB of data with unlimited talk and text for $140. I thought at first it would be better to switch but this is absolutely shit! Hard to believe it costs almost $1,800 a year for two smartphones. Canning these overpriced stupid things after contract up in January.
