Solved! Verizon ONT coax hook up for router

From what I've learned, the coax from the ONT supplies a MoCa signal to the Verizon router. I am replacing the Vz router with a TP 1750 which says I need an external MoCa modem for the TP 1750 to work. If Vz is supplying MoCa through their coax, shouldn't I be able to use a rg-59 to ethernet adapter directly into my new router?

MOCA requires 2 hardware devices, one on each end.

The supplied Verizon router is one, some MOCA device is the other.

Lacking that Verizon router, you need 2 devices.
