Vertical Bar In Laptop Screen

Hello, my friend recently gave me his old laptop. It needed a screen replacement which I did myself. After the replacement the screen seem to be perfectly fine. After a few weeks however a bar seem to show up out of nowhere near the middle of the screen. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the video cable but it didn't do anything. I also noticed the bar seems to change slightly every time I power the Laptop on. Normally its pure black with a green line on one side and red on the other. On one occasion the bar got a little worse, having two other bars on either side where the image wasn't missing but rather flipped. The cursor even traveled the opposite way on the bar alone. The strangest part is that it fixed itself when I was fiddling around with the display settings. I changed my display to 16 bit color then back to 32 true color and the portion of the bar that was flipped was gone. Though the black bar remains. Here's some info on the laptop.
