Vertical bars on screen.

I have a Toshiba laptop with a screen that only displays black and green vertical bars. It works just fine when I connect it to an external monitor, but the laptop screen doesn't display.

One day, the screen started working when I let the screen fall back rapidly, it worked for three days and then went back to the vertical bars.

Any solutions to this problem?

If you can hook up to an external monitor with no issues, sounds like you have a loose connection in your laptop that's preventing the screen from working. Taking it apart is a pain because of the way laptops are built, but if you're up to it, look for a small cable running from the screen into the motherboard. Make sure it's tight in the connector.
