Vertical lines/noise on a KDL55X4500

Dear All,

I'm experiencing some vertical line/noise on the whole screen of my Sony KDL55X-4500, the picture is covered by these vertical lines.

It sometimes disapears but it comes quickly back (present about 95% of the time). These lines are in majority white but can be green depending on the picture color displayed behind.

For sure, it is due to the unit itselve and not from the source (each different sources show the same problem).

I'm wondering if it's due to a bad capacitance in the power supply or maybe to the matrix.

If somebody encountered this trouble and had resolved it or can give any other usable help, it would be great!

It could easily be the power supply begining to fail, or it could be your tcon (timing control) board going bad. If you feel comfortable, you can get a service manual and start troubleshooting inside. If not, i'd get in contact with a local sony repair center to begin troubleshooting.
