Very annoying audio problem

I very recently bought a new gaming PC. I installed planetside 2 and medieval 2 total war and they run pretty well (although planetside has some issues). When in games that are using sound I get a big problem. Audio starts buzzing the same way as people may have found when changing volume whilst watching an online video. The buzzing alone ruins the experience however it also gives me lag when it does buzz. Such lag is due to the odd noises and I don't expect this of a new computer. Please someone help me!
