very high core i7 temperatures

I'm running close to 100C under load and I'm a bit worried. Playing GW2 on med-high graphics 1920x1080 and under load my cpu temps are in the upper 90s. Should I be worried? I know that i7s run a little hot, but isnt like 95-97C too high? Anything I can do to cool it down? This is a brand new laptop btw, just got it yesterday so cleaning it out won't really do anything.

i do not. i have thought about getting one but would rather keep that as a last resort as I bought a laptop for its mobility and don't want to add more stuff to have to carry around.

I'm sure you know laptops are not actually meant to set on your lap. They will get very hot that way.
Which exact model is it?
Honestly I would take it back and if it was brand new, ask for replacement with a brand new since the one given in the first place had faulty cooling. 100C is when the CPU will throttle itself.

No I dont think that CPU should become that hot. Do you think you can get it replaced with a brand new one?
Try 720p and see if their still high.
If you can get a new one get a cooler also.
