Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and i'm trying to watch a movie on it on my RCA TV. Okay the problem is my TV says no signal when I have the VGA cord plugged into it, the strange part is that I've done this before and it's worked fine. The really strange part is when I restart my computer it starts getting signal to the TV but as soon as my laptop gets to me about to log in to my account, it shuts off and goes back to no signal again.

Solution
I would go into the settings for you laptop display and extend it to the tv or clone desktop. You could also try holding down the fn key and f5 or f6.

RCA TV? How old is that? I thought they were long gone...

The other thing to check is the resolution. It may not be able to resolve the correct resolution.
