I have a Goodmans VCR with two scart connections and a LG DVD recorder with two scart connections. Can I connect both together and record Tape to DVD without connecting to TV and how Please?

You would want to connect the SCART output of the VCR to the SCART input of the DVD recorder. If they both have standard AV RCA jacks you can use them the same way.
You would have to select the correct input as your source on the recorder. The owners manuals would also be useful.
If you connect the recorder output to a TV you may be able to see the tape playback as it's recorded. Useful if you want to edit the DVD as you go.
The DVD you make could be ripped into a computer for editing and correction.

The best way to do this (as suggested by another post) is look at the scart sockets on the devices they will marked either 'in'. 'out' or 'in/out'....connect your scart lead to the 'out' (or output) on the vhs player and the other end to the 'in' (or input) on the dvd recorder connect the dvd recorder to your tv (you really need to connect this to a tv to make sure the signal is passing through the dvd recorder) when you switch all the devices on (including the tv) you need to tell the dvd recorder where the signal (from the vhs player) is coming from, on the dvd recorder remote you might have a button named 'source' press this and usually you will see options (on the tv, this is why you need all connected to a tv) choose the 'scart' option....it might be easier to play the vhs tape as you are doing this so when you see the picture on your tv from what is on the vhs tape you know you have chosen the right source option, if you have not got the 'source' option on your dvd recorder remote you might have to go into the dvd recorders 'settings'....but you will have to tell the dvd recorder where the 'signal' is coming from....remember to connect the dvd recorder to the tv not the vhs player....as mentioned if it is a 'commercial' vhs tape there might be 'copy protection' on it if so the picture will be distorted when trying to copy....NOTE: 'source' might be called 'input'...
