Viberations in laptop

How much does it vibrate?

Things that can cause the laptop would be the fan and the hard drive, the DVD drive and speakers. Vibrations should be relatively minor. At the moment I am encoding a video and also listening to music on my 14" Lenovo Y470. I can feel very small vibrations and it is normal. Vibrations are coming from the fan, hard drive and speakers.

If you are experiencing large vibrations, then there could be an issue. Large vibrations may be caused by an unbalanced exhaust fan. The single most vibration sensitive device in any laptop or desktop is the hard drive. Small vibrations is fine. But large vibrations can eventually cause data loss because of mis-aligned read/write heads.
