Try here... several display drivers are available to know which specific driver to download, you may have to first identify it.. HWiNFO32 can do that for you.

OR you can automate the driver download and install by pressing on the green bar... that will download a driver updater tool. After it has updated Windows XP drivers, remove the driver application.

looks like the laptop uses the on chip intel graphics, have you tried the win 7 32 bit vga driver from asus's webpage?

Also have you tried loading your med software on a windows7 32 bit OS? We had some extremely old CNC software that everyone thought would only work on XP, loaded a test window 7 32 bit box and installed the software just fine on it.

If you have time or a spare computer you can load win 7 32 bit with out registering it, when it ask for the key during install just tell it to skip it and it will give you a 30day trial. If it works then buy a key if not then your not out any money just your time for the install.

Hi Faalin , thanks for your reply .
The problem with the medical software is that it looks for " font size " during st up ! ( Normal , Large , Extra Large ) .. we choose " Normal " . In win 7 the font size dosnt have such categories as "Normal " but has different " small , medium ,100 % "
Silly difference , but crucial . I dont know how to get around it .
Otherwise I would love to work this program on win 7 .
Thanks

Well, the ".su" country domain url extension is said to have been created during the Soviet Union and is still in use... it's said to be a haven for cybercriminals so that may be why your antivirus extension detects it as a malware website.. it also happens that other searches for "Asus Altec K53 E drivers" that came up with country domain extension."io", (for the Indian Ocean), show the very same page as for ".su"... it may keep showing other country domain extensions and probably show the same page... I didn't stick around long enough to verify, but there apparently is something very wrong about it... and better not use it.

Try this address instead. There is a Driver updater software but also several display drivers for direct download... choose your specific Operating System and next download the appropriate driver for your display chip.

have you attempted to right click on the .exe and make it run in compatible mode as windows xp ?

have you considered getting and install windows xp on an bootable external drive and use it that way ?

have you considered installing Oracle VM Virtual Box (its free) and then install Windows XP, then install your medical software, so you end up running Windows XP on a virtual desktop on your win 7 OS, and your medical system will run under the win XP OS ? (I do this for a series of older metal embossing software myself)
