Wish USB Adapter that will transmit audio to wireless headphone. This USB adapter connects into s USB port on the rear of the Dish VIP722K receiver.

The USB port isn't made for being a generic USB port. Usually only for updates, playing media from a drive, etc. The receiver probably doesn't have the needed USB Audio drivers to do what you want to do.

I was informed today by a (DISH technician) that this port was for this purpose. Have not been able to confirm or satisfy his claim. Still looking,,,
