Virus Protection Turned Off

Hello,
My Microsoft Essentials keeps popping up a window that says virus protection turned off. How do I turn it back on and how do I keep it from going off.

open the MSE>settings>real-time protection> click the "turn on real-time protection" and save changes.

If it don't work uninstall the MSE and re-install again.

If it still don't work that means the OS is illegal.

Most malware will attack your antivirus software first. You may have an infection that is turning it off. Download malwarebytes, and scan your computer.
