Vizio has terrible sound. Going to buy PC speakers for improvement but TV only has HDMI and audio output, no USB. Is there a product that will work with this set up or should I buy some sort of adapter?

The only output that TV has is an optical output so you would need something to connect to that, with a soundbar with that type of input being the easiest.
