vizio soundbar to emerson tv

I have a Emerson lcd tvand im trying to hook it to vizio sound barand any suggestions how tv is hooked to cable

Without model #'s of the devices we really don't know what inputs the soundbar has nor what outputs the tv has.

Generally you connect the tv's audio output (usually stereo) to the soundbars input.

Some tv's have an optical output which can connect to the soundbars optical input if it has one. The optical cable is always sold separately :-(
