Question VPN and Virgin Media

I have recently joined Virgin Media for their broadband service, using the Hub 5 router.I also recently acquired a VPN subscription through Private VPN,and would like to apply it using the Hub 5 router which is hard wired to my TV/firestick.Virgin Media have been unhelpful in assisting me in how to connect it,hence I am hoping someone here could guide me. I am not very savvy when it comes to technology.
