Wake-up my laptop

I was using my Toshiba laptop and went for a tea break which lasted 15 minutes. When I came back the laptop had gone to sleep and a red light was blinking along with the white light which usually blinks when it sleeps. In spite of my pressing the power button it is not waking up. What do I do now ?

Hold in the power button to shut it off, turn it back on.
