Wow. Love it or hate it, but that is a damn waste and a stupid thing to do. I know lots of people who can't even afford a $200 netbook and would love to have a use for this. Sad that people would go and do such a thing, especially in this economy just to show off a damn blender.
That's what blendtec does. They've been blending the hotting technology (that will fit) for years. And I wouldn't say it's a waste; it'll be providing entertainment for years to come.
After being spoonfed tidbits of useless information about what might be the most hyped and least exciting product launch of the decade for god knows how long the really brightened my day.
It's not a waste, it's a great marketing ploy. Do you know how many people have probably visited the blendtec website after seeing these "Will it blend" videos on youtube? I'll admit, when I first saw these videos on youtube a long time ago, I visited the blendtec website just to see how much these blenders sell for.
Can we please stop with all of the ipad related "news". Could you do something like do a CPU review of the new 12 core Opterons by AMD. I would like to see one of those verses the new 980x in a Fritz Chess benchmark or something along those lines.

Reviews and benchmarks are different than news stories, since they require a lot more time and resources to do right. I doubt if censoring their news stories would increase the number of reviews.
we all know the ipad is a piece of c.rap but how is this any different from smashing it with a baseball bat? i'd like to see more people knockin on this guy for doin the same, situations are similar whether the entity that receives the fame, or infamy, is conscious of it or not
