Ways to get round copyright music when livestreaming?

Hey,

So i'm livestreaming pool matches down at a local pool centre, now the centre plays music channels in background and youtube always blocks the videos on copyright grounds. Now I'm wanting to keep the audio for the table effects and some background music already there.

What live streaming services offer the use of copyright music on fair use grounds in a public place.

I can't answer directly to your question, but what i know is that if you try to talk a lot in the livestreams to cover up the music, youtube won't block you (can be annoying for viewers though)

Tough one, probably not TBH. Personally I'd ask youtube, you might be able to prove licensing under the centres public use license. Or directional mics and ensure than the gain is high on those.

For other Mods, I don't think that this falls foul of the piracy rulings, as the music is incidental.

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps an ultra-directional microphone might help, but it's a bit of a long shot. If you can reduce the background music volume sufficiently while retaining the sound from the table and nearby, you could use gating on the soundtrack to mute it except when sounds you want are present.

Yeah the centre has the PRS & PPL so thats a great shout actually as i didnt think of that!

Also to other mods sorry for the plain looking title I do know it looks like piracy avoiding etc lol
