MERGED QUESTION
Question from juggamaninjalo : "We have a 72 inch Mitsubishi TV... The picture had went out so we just replaced the lamp and isn't turning on???"

We have a 72 inch Mitsubishi TV. I heard a loud pop then the picture went out. Everyone said to replace the lamp so we did. Now it's not even turning on?

I used to own this TV. It is a rear projection DLP TV. Over time the bulbs get dim, and eventually break. Just like a halogen bulb in a car.
Try replacing the bulb.
