weather laptop will be affected if i use dead charger while working

today my laptop suddenly got shut down and is not starting without charger .at the first time at least it was charging but after some time it stopped charging .what is th reason ?whether my battery has dead?

So you were not talking about your charger, but about your battery. Maybe the battery is defective or the charging circuit on the motherboard of the laptop, you can use the laptop without problems if the battery is not good.
