I'm considering purchasing Webroot AntiVirus 2015 as mentioned on toms hardware sticky for $3.99. I can't believe you can get a top 3 (tied for 1st on pcmag) paid AVS for that price.

Anyways, I notice they also have a Webroot AntiVirus for PC Gamers 2015 version for $29.99. It says;

- Optimizes Your Gaming System
- No Performance Impact on Gameplay

One of the reasons I'm thinking about Webroot is that it's supposedly light on system resources. That, and it has a perfect score on handling malware.

Is the gamer version really that much better than regular version? Is it worth the extra $26.00? My new rig is pretty fast, so I can't see how regular version would effect gaming.

I will be playing games like GTA V, Call of Duty, and maybe Final Fantasy.

I'm a big fan of Webroot, very light on system resources and not full of bloat. I might be biased though because my father works for Webroot so I use all their stuff for free. I haven't seen the gamer version before but maybe I'll ask him about it.

okay, thanks. There must not be many people using it on here. I'm thinking the cheap one should do just fine. I just don't see how gamer version would make that much of a difference. I'll see if anyone else responds by leaving this open for a while longer.
