Personally, battery can be changed when the battery health degrades. What seems to be the determining factor for a phone upgrade, is the end of security update support. I'm currently using a Galaxy Note20 Ultra. It's three years old. I would love to continue using it for another three to four years, but unfortunately Samsung will end support for it either next year or in 2025. I'll get a Pixel 10 Pro when it's time to put down my Galaxy Note20 Ultra, especially if Google continues to offer 7 years of support on their Pixel devices.
