So I have a Windows 8 laptop. It's a year old and full of viruses so I want to buy an antivirus. But most of the antiviruses just add things I don't need. Here are the features I want:
-A very fast scanner
-Protects Payments online
-Spam email Blocker
-Emails with viruses are Blocked
-Shreds files
Oh, also, I don't care about the price. I only use one pc so don't care if I only get one license. But please make the price as low as possible.

BitDefender ranks near the top consistantly. Thats what I have been using for the past few years on all my computers.. But I did get their licenses for 13 cents each lol.

Here is the supposed ranking for the Internet security. Some people call these paid advertisments but every site has bitdefender at #1 or #2.

Norton has been around for a long time and consistently ranks in the top 5. Used it several years in the past.

If it's full of viruses, I would reinstall Windows.

If that's not an option, I would go to another PC and burn a group of (free) bootable CDs with virus scanners on them.

Here are a few articles reviewing such discs:

The problem with installing an anti-virus program in Windows is that any decent virus will screw with the anti-virus' install To put it differently: Can You spell R O O T K I T?
