Hello! Long story short, I need a gaming laptop. I know, desktops are better, please spare me the rhetoric of this. I've been looking around and a good brand and good spec laptop (MSI, ASUS, so on) are in the $1500-1700ish range for something with a I7 6700HQ/16GB RAM/256 M.2 or NVMe, 1 TB HDD, 1070 8 GB, 15.6 inch screen 1080p, anti glare and g-sync. But then when I try to look for a decent laptop with a 1080, the price goes up by at least $1000-2000. Does anyone know of a good gaming laptop with a 1080 around $2000? I seriously doubt a 1080 costs $1000+ more to install in a laptop when(supposedly) they're using desktop cards and a desktop 1080 is only around $250-350 more than a 1070. So to sum this all up, I'd like a gaming laptop with similar (or better) specs for around $2000-2300:
CPU: I7 6700HQ
RAM: 16 GB DDR4, 2133 MHz
Storage: 256 or 512 GB M.2 SSD or NVMe.
Regular HDD isn't necessary as I have a 1 TB SSD I'll install as well as a 1 TB SSHD I'll install if there's (preferably) a second 2.5 inch bay.
GPU: GTX 1080, 8 GB
Screen: 14" or larger is fine
Weight: I don't care it could weigh a pound or ten pounds, I can handle it.
Screen: 1080P is fine or 1440P. Anti glare and g sync with at least a 60 Hz refresh rate is fine, if possible.
Decent wifi and Bluetooth card is fine. I'll most likely be using Ethernet anyway.
Thickness: see weight (I don't care)
Keyboard: I don't care much. I have my own I'll be using so it doesn't need to be some crazy great mechanical one.
Needless bells and whistles: I don't care. I don't need "bling" or "shininess" or crazy logos that light up or glow in the dark. I much prefer form following function. Backlit keyboard would be nice for when I can't bring my own with me.
Battery life: gaming won't be done using the battery. Regular PC usage will (work, email, browsing, not very intensive stuff.)
Also, if there's not a 1080 equipped laptop in my budget, please by all means, share the ones that are decent priced even if they're over $2300. I'll just have to work harder and save more.
So I guess that about covers it all. If you have any questions, please ask! Thank you very much, I'm looking forward to some good answers!
