Macbooks are considered notebooks.
They're called Macbooks because they use OSX as their OS whereas other notebooks use Windows as the primary OS

notebook = laptop, just different words meaning same things (although some people try to imply different things)

netbook - very small laptop computer, typically has very small screen size and small keyboard, no CD-rom.

macbook = apple portable computer. this will include apple netbooks and laptops alike

MacBooks = Apple laptops which has the Mac OS instead of Windows OS.
