what do i do when my android wont turn on but it charges?

I was listening to music on my phone last night, then the music stop then my phone turned off. I turned it back on then it went to my home screen but it said it had no surves, then i turned it back off now when i turn it on it has a green light flashing . I dont know what to do! Please help!

is it plugged in while your trying to turn it on? if so, unplug it then try and turn it on.

Also, what phone. Android doesn't tell us anything, there is like 50,000 android model phones out there.
